My 1st round hitter didn't make the list. Pat's 2nd round hitter did. Any question why he wins all the time.

We had nobody debut on the Top 100 but Malik was mentioned as a top prospect in the primer so I think he breaks through sooner or later.

Been a while. Good place to discuss the draft. Moved this and all recent draft threads to BLB News.

    Pawtucket first:

#1 Hitting prospect and #1 Pitching prospect as of 8/10/2014.

Also noted #3 Overall pitching prospect in McDade.

Probably won't know how this will equate to BLB success until next season, though C- Dave P will probably taste the big show sometime in September along with OF- Tommy Van Leer.

People will probably disagree with me, but SP- Talley will probably be shut down at the end of Horizon League season (AAA) 150 inning projected is good enough. I've been real careful thats all.

Now can you sport of 7-8 great and hitters and get to the playoffs. Sure.

That seems like it should more or less be true all the time.

Funny thing is Pawtucket's early 00's teams were less talented, but built more on pitching and no a surprised went bit further in the playoffs.

I guess the summary is hitting can get you there, but pitching seems to win out more come playoff time.

I'm hoping Coma becomes one. Happy that Angulo moves up to the #2 P spot and Pulido continues to progress.

Herberholz has been pretty dominant the last three seasons. Unfortunately he has not been in the post season. Mejia kind of the same. I'm hoping now that they are becoming grizzled veterans that experience will pay off.

Pawtuckets 5 prospects are all hitters. Lol, sounds like typical Patriot baseball. Judging by the feeder leagues I may need to wait til 2008, but needing to pop a few starters over the next few seasons.
