Obviously, but the purpose of that rule was to act in the team's best interests. It's clear that picking a fullback oppose that principle.Maine Guides

If the team doesn't like it, well, it's not too hard to set your draft queue.

We have never been in a situation like this before, so I say we make a resolution. I think going with what Andrew suggested is a really good idea.
Take the best player, available, that is in the top three needs. And I would even go as far as, only drafting players that say "starting" not "backup." Taking a FB, a Kicker, or a Punter in round one would be dumb.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Aaron already posted this:
Originally posted by aholbertCamden is up. S. Maryland's pick as made by me. i picked Kaufmann because Tackle was there greatest need and Kaufman was listed before Reeves in the draft pool. When I auto pick, I dont look at combine numbers or anything like that. I pick the highest rated person at that position in the draft pool. That was Kaufmann.
If S. Md misses any more picks it will be put on auto for the rest of the draft.

Originally posted by Sully View PostWe could also just hold off. Let's face it, dk isn't around, so even if we pick now for Denver, we're still pretty much done for the night. We can just wait until Aaron pops his head in again.Last edited by Pat; 05-11-2008, 09:07 PM.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

DK hasn't been online at all today, so Linty and I are just going to wait and let Aaron decide when he gets back. I think this needs to be clarified a little bit. What happens if liquid misses his next round as well? Do we just keep drafting FB's because the game says it's his biggest need?
Personally, I think the best policy would be to take the highest Adj Board rating at any of the 3 positions. If they miss the next pick, take the highest Adj Board at one of the next 2 need positions. If they miss 3 picks, it's probably then safe to assume they are no longer participating and appoint a draft committee to handle the rest of the draft for them (like we are doing with St Paul).

St. Paul doesn't have a draft committee. I made the pick alone.

If my pick comes up at work tomorrow, where I don't have access to the game when deciding between potential draftees and evaluating potential trades, I'm going to be lobbying for a time extension until I return. Granted there's no good way to auto-draft for teams who just patently don't show up for the draft, but it's stupid to let people be away from this board for 24+ hours at a time during the draft, without putting anyone in their queue, and just say, "Eh, they'll come back whenever they feel like it" while everyone else is expected to hold to the given time limit.
We all have real life committments, but come on. Either the time limit exists or it doesn't.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990
