Port City is very proud to announce the new face of the franchise. We feel we have the biggest steal in the draft... In the late stages of round 3, rated at 5.1, and scouted as very underrated (with a scout that is excellented at rating qb's...) he is heavy ended in timing, and accuracy and is well rounded every where else.. he was 2nd in all qb's behind Nori in pos. spec. and can move around in the pocket very good (blue rated agility). He has the 3rd strongest arm in nfl draft (red rated bench press) , and can make every nfl throw... port city steam is very excited about this pick and can't wait to see him devople into a top qb in the league.

Sorry about the slight delay there. I've got internet access again (well, obviously. but only for the next 2 nights) so I was busy adjusting my preference list. Didn't even notice it was my turn, and it didn't seem to want to auto pick for me while I was logged in.

As for my picks so far, I don't think I could be happier. I had a couple of offers to trade down, but there were only about ten players I really liked at the top of the draft, so I decided to sit tight and take a chance that one or two of them would fall to me. And four of them did. But I only had two picks, so I went with my needs.

Marchion at 11 may be a bit of a reach, but WR was a huge need for me, and he was the second best receiver on the board. Terry Warren had the best combine of any of the offensive tackles and the second best of any offensive linemen after J.B. Mahon. At only 16% developed, he is a project, but LT Ethan Baxter is a mentor, so that should help. Depending on how he looks before training camp, I might end up moving him to LT and switching Baxter over to RT.

Hannon at RG is the pick I'm least sure of. I'm not sold on his combine numbers and my scout had him as "hard to read". But I really needed a guard. My 3rd round pick Sutton was the last "Very Underrated" player from those I had scouted, so he got a bump up the list for that. He might end up moving over to guard if Hannon disappoints, or if he stays at center it could mean that either last year's first round pick Dixon Irwin (who isn't much of a run blocker) or Chris Prescott's (who is getting up there in years) time with the team could be coming to an end.

Love your optimism, but I think Shields isn't going to be that good. He'll probably be decent but not a star ;)

Yeah, I dunno. Could be really solid or could be Kelly Holcomb. But for sure not the face of your franchise.

                            • I was really hoping to see Wolf keep falling. I was looking to move up to take a TE earlier, I think Wolf and Bakic were pretty good values in this round.

                              • Bakic was a shock for me to see him there in Round 3. I wasn't planning on drafting TE, but I thought he offered too much value to pass up.
