  • It's a battle of the league's two most prolific passers this year. Randy Boone usually doesn't find himself in this category, but he's currently trailing yardage leader Sammy Jennings by only 60 yds.

Boone has only had three top ten finishes in his career, and one top 5 (#5, in 2028). Maybe this year he can chase the title, although he'll need 16 games to do it.

hehe speaking of 1st round pick trades Utah did the smart thing and dealt my pick in the draft because he KNOWS HOW INCREDIBLY AWESOME I AM.

(Actually, I think he just knew how incredibly awesome Hansen was.)

          • well 2029 went better than expected against one of the toughest schedules we went 9-7 and made the post season sunk ohio valley (again) and lost to utah (again) sammy jennings was every thing we hoped for so far, his red zone completion percentage was a little low and that will come up. with morrison, lienning and vaughn things will only get better we had a pair of 1000 yd wrs for the 1st time and jennings set a franchise record for passing yds on the season. injuries hit us again at the end of the season. but we have a lot to look forward to next season

            • Well this started off what should be a quiet off season, trading for DE Walter Vanover, double digit sack man the last 3 years this will help Bernard Kirk cause havoc and let my LBs play free hes a bit long in the tooth but i think hes just hit his peak and we should be able to get a couple 3 years from him anything to make randy boone uncomfortable

              • We resigned our OC to help all the youth on the offense grow maybe he can do more miracles like he did with Antoine Vaughn. we also picked up another 25% of the gails dline DT Michael Chandler gives us back the depth we had before the start of the season with the move of Moe True to DT Brooks and the Jizzman coming along nicely we should be able to put randy boone on his fat wallet a few more times without having to blitz

                          • 2030 Season outlook

after doing 9-7 in 2029 the Riders outlook for 2030 looks good. we got off to a shaky start and "the trade" made us change things up, but once we adjusted we finished the season strong going 6-2 over our last 8 and a wild card win in Ohio.

We return 20 starters from last season the only 2 losses were mo lyon and Dale Forbes both to retirement. But more importantly for the first time in over a decade we start a season without Alfred Morrison.

Qb - Sammy Jennings set a franchise record for yards in his 1st season as a starter and the single game records for passing yard in 1 game regular and post season, 5 300 yd games and 3 come from behind victories. no drop off in camp came back 70/70 looking to show last year wasnt a fluke.

Lamont Emerson will be the #2 in his 11th year hes a solid backup and if something should happen to Sammy im not worried about Monty starting a couple of games

"Big" Tony Andrews will continue to work and hopefully be a good #2 when Monty retires.

Casey Appleby is there to be a kickholder hopefully i can carry 4 qbs

RB - Peter Briggs is the bell cow but he had a bit of a off year averaging slightly more than 3 ypc and 0 Rushing td's. Alvin Baker picked up the slack tho 4.35 ypc. Also rookie FB Junior El Nino will get plenty of touches to help in the running game. FA RB Chad Kastilahn will see most of his work returning punts

FB - Last season TE Bryan Sheldon Did most of the work at fb and Leo Johnstone was more of a special teamer. Junior El Nino gives a us a full time FB who can run block and catch passes. We used a lot of single back sets last year that will change this season.

TE - Antoine Vaughn only 21 catches in his rookie season but 13.05 ypc, we need to get him more touches. Bryan Sheldon will also see mroe action as Sammy has picked up the Singleback 2te set. Only 4 catches last year he'll surely improve on that.
Jermaine Allman will handle the long snapping and Geoff Hutton will help the young guys along

WR - the dynamic duo managed to each go over 1000 yds and Stan Morrison set a franchise record for td's in a season (14) in spite of missing 3 games. And inspite of a slow start in Denver Grant Liening posted career highs in catches, yds and YAC. at 30 years old Jerome Kritzer should be able to hold the #3 spot. Rookie FA Howard Downs, will compete with Jeff Berry and Deron Matteson for the #4 spot.

OL - G Don Parrot came back from summer camp ready to continue his HOF career after a shaky rookie season. Rosie Bennett, Kim Bergen, Mercury Southrey and FA Kenyon Nelson will be tasked with protecting Sammy. Cornell Shaw will get a chance to see if he was worth the 1st round pick.

DL - The Capitan Bernard Kirk had another all pro season even after teh departure of Donovan Wright. We got him help in the form of Walter vanover who recorded double digit sacks the last 3 seasons, aslo Michael Chandler will help stuff the run and bring pressure up the middle.
Jeff Brooks will have a chance to start he racked up 5 1/2 sacks including a 3 sack game vs motor city.

Lb - the corps is fine for now, Chris diPietro did have a bit of a drop but is still one of the best. MLB Lee Baxter had another 90+ tackle season also forced 4 fumbles we still dont have the "monster pass rusher" at LB but i think the guys in front should be able to get after it.

DB - 2nd year CB Corey Wenzel had a rough rookie year but improved as it went along even getting a pick in week 12 against boston. He and Herb Robertson are the future along with Rookie Randal Hutchinson and 5th year S Larry Anderson.

ST - Warren Woodard and Brett Gray will be our "Top Gunners", we have RB's Alvin Baker and Chad Kastilahn will be returning punts after an outstanding rookie year averaging over 10 yds per return Baker averaged a pedestrian 5.1 in 2030. that being said Baker is the franchise #1 in return yds. Bernie Richardson is back for a shot at breaking the tie at the in KR TD's. Hes tied for 1 all time with 10 return tds

                            • preseason week 1 recap

starters went all the way and looked well Sammy went 28-34 just shy of 300 (297) only 1 td passing tho, Stan Morrison is ready for the season 9 catches 134 yds.

On D Herb Robertson didnt allow a catch and we had 3 takeaways.

next week back home to host the enforcers the starters are done for all intents and purposes. time for some guys to earn a spot or not

                              • off to a good start trying to keep it rolling were doing it by giving them the D! Bernard Kirk has 8 hurries and 1.5 sacks in 2 games and things will only get better with Jeff Brooks returning just in time to face pass happy Waco and Chris DiPietro is still our best LB leading the team in tackles.
